2020 Washington Winery of the Year

Recently, LIMINAL received the title of 2020 Washington Winery of the Year, by Sean Sullivan, editor of Washington Wine Report and contributing editor to Wine Enthusiast. Words cannot express how much this recognition means to us and the hardworking team members that contributed to the project. We are grateful for WeatherEye vineyard manager/partner, Ryan Johnson, and WeatherEye vineyard owner Cam Myhrvold for their unique vision and dedication that has allowed our winemaking team to craft world-class wines. A huge thank you goes to Sean Sullivan for his stories and reviews that have helped bring LIMINAL wines to the forefront. And we are thankful for our supporters, you, for your continued interest in the LIMINAL project. We hope to meet and exceed your expectations in the years to come.

"This dedication and focus, along with Peterson’s gifted winemaking, are reflected in the inaugural Liminal wines, which were released last year. All reach a quality level few have achieved."  - Sean Sullivan, Washington Wine Report (Read Sean's full article here.)

In addition to being named winery of the year, our 2018 Grenache appeared on Sean's 40 Most Exciting Washington Wines of 2020 list.

High Scores for Our 2018s

A Spot in the Top 100

We have exciting news to share. We are thrilled to announce that one of our inaugural release wines has earned a spot on the Enthusiast Top 100 Wines of 2020 list. Each year, the editors of Wine Enthusiast review more than 25,000 wines from all over the world and compile this list of premium wines representing quality, value, and availability. Our 2018 Grenache is one of just a handful of Washington wines to have made the list. What an honor to be among such great company.

Writer and critic Sean Sullivan reviewed the 2018 LIMINAL wines a few months back and his reviews now appear in the Wine Enthusiast Buying Guide Best of Year 2020. To those of you lucky enough to have secured some of these wines, we hope you are in agreement with the reviews. To those of you who'd like an opportunity to get in on future releases, sign up for the allocation waiting list here. And to WeatherEye Vineyard owner, Cameron Myhrvold, and vineyard manager/partner, Ryan Johnson, congratulations on this accomplishment and thank you for your partnership.
